MJ's Encrusted Tiny Hexagon Box is made from nearly 75 tiny, MJ-made silk ribbon roses, using both ribbonwork and ribbon embroidery methods. The techniques used are the gathered rose, the folded rose with or without tutu and the French knot rose, each in shades of hand-dyed pinks, yellows, oranges, reds, purples, greens and blues. The ribbon roses have been hand sewn or embroidered onto a silk fabric-covered base piece and mounted onto a silk velvet hexagon box top with a special base velvet ribbon trim.
